The Spark Arts for Children – Our Charity of the year.

Each year at Torr Waterfield we choose a charity, local or national, to represent and raise money for.

This year we have chosen to support The Sparks Arts for Children.

The Spark Arts for Children is a busy children’s art organisation based in the LCB Depot (Leicester City Council managed workspace for creative industries), in the heart of the city of Leicester’s cultural quarter.

“We are delighted to be supported by Torr Waterfield helping us reach more children in the city and county.  The arts have never been more needed for developing imagination, self-expression and creativity in our children.”  Adel Al-Salloum

Spark has come a long way since 2003 starting as an annual children’s arts festival growing to a children’s arts organisation with a year-round multi-art form programme.  Aiming to ignite the potential of children through extraordinary arts experiences

The Spark Festival is underway!

The Spark Festival presents unforgettable arts experiences for young people aged 0-13. The Festival takes place each year over seven days in February across the city. This year the experiance are taking place online.

The programme includes professional performances of dance, theatre and music.

See the website for more details.

The Spark gives children opportunities to immerse themselves in the arts. They offer children spaces to discover their own skills, passions and potential, as audience, participants and creators of their own work. For more information on the festival click here.
